Designed in the same spirit as our Superior Cottage, the standard hotel room (without kitchen) are decorated in joyful pastel colors, combined with an interior featuring bright and elegant oak wood furniture. The bathrooms are ingeniously refigured for more space (large showers, stylish Italian tiles, hairdryers, designer toiletries). The beds and mattresses are new and an additional murphy bed now makes it possible to sleep 3 people with complete comfort. For generations of first-time visitors to St Barts, the Standard Hotel Room at LeVillage have been an affordable, entry-level introduction to the magic of the island. Fodor Guides have described these rooms as “among the best values on the island.” The hotel has been welcoming guest since 1969, when it was known as the Village St.Jean Hotel. It was conceived, designed and built in a chic Caribbean style by Andre Charneau and his family; today, it is still owned, managed, cosseted and impeccably maintained by the second generation of Charneaus, Catherine and her brother Bertrand, who literally grew up in the hospitality business.
